Samesex Wedding in Hancock Park, Los Angeles Wedding - David + Adam

David and Adam’s love story is so beautiful and pure to me.

Adam, a lawyer, had never wanted to get married.
Life works mysteriously as there I was, photographing his wedding with David, a wonderful teacher.
They’re a couple who care and worry about others. You’re immediately accepted, too, and if you know someone like them in your life, you’re just so lucky. There was so much love and fun at this wedding in Hancock Park, where Adam once used to live, and was officiated by their two beloved judge friends.

Oh, their wedding rings, by the way, were bought on Amazon.com, and they wear the same ring sizes, so during the wedding ceremony, they simply exchanged each other’s ring that they had been wearing as engagement rings. This was super adorable to me.

Jordan + Corey - Casa Hyder Wedding in San Miguel de Allende Wedding

Read my San Miguel de Allende Wedding Photography story and one of my favorite photojournalistic experiences! Not to discredit my former client friends’ weddings, but this was simply one of the BEST weddings Brett and I have ever photographed. Jordan and Corey are now our dearest and best friends forever - I cried saying goodbye to them after the wedding, which kind of…never happens. We’re so blessed to be part of every journey - from their engagement to the courthouse ceremony - to the wedding (and beyond), and not only we’re already planning to see each other (they live in Texas, and we’re trying to convince them to move to San Diego! I mean, WHY NOT!), but we also wish to see their loved ones soon again.

Jordan and Corey got married at Casa Hyder in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. They generously invited us to stay with them and their family at Casa Hyder. So we hung out with everyone at their San Miguel wedding for 5 days!

My Beloved Casa Hyder Wedding Photoshoot!

Their gay wedding in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, was planned by the best of the best, Penzi Weddings. Their wedding date was originally in May 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic had them rescheduled to November 2020, and about 50 people gathered to celebrate and share love. And to be honest, I couldn’t be happier and felt safer in Mexico than in California, as Mexicans were way more cautious and followed rules of caring for others and wearing masks, etc.

Below, here are some of my favorite moments.

Ryan + Chuck. Hollywood-red-carpet-themed wedding
No union is more profound than marriage, for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice, and family. In forming a marital union, two people become something greater than once they were. - Supreme Court

Ryan and Chuck tied the knot shortly after the Supreme Court's ruling to make the same-sex marriage a right nationwide. Their Hollywood-red-carpet-themed wedding was simply festive, filled with love, emotions and celebration. Go ahead; feel their love.

Love wins. Really. Always.
