Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook Wedding Photoshoot in Culver City, California - Esther + Dave

It was Esther and Dave’s 1st anniversary a few days ago, and yes, I’m super late with this blogging thing, but look at their autumn wedding from last year! They had a Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook wedding, where many Angelenos hike daily and enjoy panoramic views of Los Angeles. Esther is an architect (and a friend of my beloved former-client-turned-best-friend Candace; see my California wedding photographer stories of her engagement and wedding with Sean), and the industrial textures and architectural lines and symmetries were important to her (and Dave…? hehe) so we did some wedding photoshoot portraits around the venue. Ah, also, Esther’s grandfather just turned 101 years old this year. It’s simply so incredible to celebrate life and share it with your loved ones. My heart is full

The Loft on Pine Wedding in Long Beach - Danielle + Nick

I was soaked in Danielle and Nick’s depth of emotions all day at The Loft on Pine last October. They have the most supportive group of friends and family members who genuinely care and love them and it was so amazing to witness and feel it all. You can have a lot of people around you in life but it’s hard to have that many people who equally love you and mean well from bottom of their hearts. Danielle and Nick’s wedding truly showed whom they’re surrounded with and I had so much fun documenting every second of it; simply filled with pure euphoria and celebration of love.

Please enjoy some of my favorite images including a few portraits! (While I think I’m pretty good at capturing moments and telling stories, the genius Brett has taught and assisted me on making some amazing portraits with the couple with a tight wedding timeline.)

St. Steven's Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, Center for the Arts Eagle Rock Wedding - Mandy + Matt

My job provides such an amazing opportunity to learn about life, and there is nothing like photographing weddings and being surrounded by diverse types of people and love.

Mandy and Matt have this calm energy and subtle and secure love for each other that I so admire. I'm having a little hard time to describe it but their love isn't loud, if that makes sense, yet it is simple, deep and mature. Both of them love books (in fact, on their first date, all they talked about was books) literature and languages; Mandy majored in Creative Writing in college while Matt studied in Russian. They met on a dating app which is one dominant way of how we meet new people these days. They live in New York but Mandy is from LA area, and their wedding ceremony was held at St. Steven's Serbian Orthodox Cathedral where Matt's father got to marry them, and their reception was at Center for the Arts Eagle Rock.
