Gorgeous Ranch Wedding in Oak Glen - Kim + Amanda

I was REALLY excited when Kim and Amanda told me that both of them would wear a wedding dress; it was my dream come true. :D I've photographed multiple gay weddings but I had this "fantasy" to photograph two brides in their wedding dresses. Two wedding dresses meant two bouquet tosses too. <3 Kim and Amanda met while playing/teaching soccer in 2009; since then, they've become nurses and graduated from Marine Corps (Amanda) and they bought a house shortly after their wedding, where I was invited for a quick lunch - we looked back their fun and emotional wedding day and talked about life, family, jobs, friends, and having babies in the future. One of the most fun things my job offers is that I get to grow with my couples and witness our lives unfold. Their wedding was held last fall at Homestead in Oak Glen, California, and Michael Bezman was with me to capture this beautiful autumn day.

Intimate Backyard Wedding in La Canada - Matt + Keagan

Someone once asked me which one was my absolute favorite wedding I've photographed. I mumbled a little and didn't have an answer for it, and I don't think I will ever. I can't choose one. It's such a difficult question, equivalent to asking a little kid if they like their mom or dad. Anyway... long story short; I really enjoyed photographing Matt and Keagan's heartfelt wedding at Keagan's parents' house in La Canada last summer. Matt and Keagan live in Washington, DC but married here in Southern California surrounded by their close friends and family.

Keagan's dad, such a loving person, had decorated the entire place; no he's not a florist but yes, he's THAT talented. It was a beautiful day packed with joyful emotions and I hope you enjoy a little glimpse of their wedding day!!

Santa Monica Beach Wedding - Elopment, Danielle + Sue - love is love

"Dog lovers. Sushi and chicken Teriyaki."

I don't know if I have a problem but I enjoy finding similarities with couples I photograph, and certainly it wasn't an exception for these two wonderful souls. Perhaps, it's how I find my own comfort in this strangely beautiful world. I tend to play this game in my head alone over and over again. Yes, I'm weird.

Danielle and Sue "eloped" in Santa Monica with their one best friend and two chihuahua pups. They simply wanted to celebrate their love privately because it felt right and perfect. One of the reasons why I love what I do so much is because of people like Danielle and Sue; we just couldn't stop laughing and smiling all this afternoon.

To me, this was the best.
