Palos Verdes Wedding - Ashley + Will

"Annie, we're doing this wedding thing just for you - literally," Ashley told me on her wedding day. "We wanted photos with our family and close friends. This means so much to us."

I started laughing and then went, 'oh holy shit...'

Ashley and Will got married in Vegas two years ago and were not sure about the whole wedding idea in the beginning; because... you know, weddings are not cheap, especially when you're paying for everything. Ashley and Will Airbnb-ed a house in Redondo Beach, had tons of awesome friends and family members helping to decorate the reception at Cheesecake Factory after their ceremony at The Neighborhood Church in Palos Verdes. I witnessed and felt so much love pouring on these two wonderful people, and even on me. Who doesn't like to feel loved? It's certainly so wonderful to be included as part of the family/friend group; I mean, I'm in their wedding album. #goals. haha just kidding.

Intimate Backyard Wedding in La Canada - Matt + Keagan

Someone once asked me which one was my absolute favorite wedding I've photographed. I mumbled a little and didn't have an answer for it, and I don't think I will ever. I can't choose one. It's such a difficult question, equivalent to asking a little kid if they like their mom or dad. Anyway... long story short; I really enjoyed photographing Matt and Keagan's heartfelt wedding at Keagan's parents' house in La Canada last summer. Matt and Keagan live in Washington, DC but married here in Southern California surrounded by their close friends and family.

Keagan's dad, such a loving person, had decorated the entire place; no he's not a florist but yes, he's THAT talented. It was a beautiful day packed with joyful emotions and I hope you enjoy a little glimpse of their wedding day!!

Santa Monica Wedding - Kim + Dave

Kim is super blunt and Dave, apparently, is very indecisive; everyone at wedding was making fun of him - but I think his indecisiveness definitely comes from his kind and caring personalities as I got to witness him following every Kim's command with a smile. I had fun photographing their wedding because Kim really made sure to tell everyone to leave me the hell alone and do my thang. ha.. (>.<)

What's so great about this wedding was that not only it was super sweet, short, and blunt, it really brought two different cultures (Vietnamese and Jewish) into one; I LOVE listening to different languages spoken at weddings and looking at cultural outfits and customs. The wedding was held at Tiato in Santa Monica and I wanted to share a few of my favorites.
