Alta Vista Country Club - Katherine and Jose’s Love Story | Real Life, Real Love, Real Nerdy and Cute

Okay, okay, okay… can we talk about how adorable Katherine and Jose are for a second?! 😭

These two met in school while studying aerospace (yes, the actual rocket science kind!) at Cal Poly Pomona back in 2019. And now, years later, they’re planning a future together with their 12-year-old daughter and a whole lot of love and laughter in the mix.

They're both mellow souls who love art, nerdy things, and weekend adventures. They make you feel instantly cozy in their presence. Katherine is all sweetness and brains (with the BEST goofy sense of humor), and Jose is the type of guy who’s strong, gentle, and goes all in when it comes to supporting the people he loves. I mean… swoon. 💛

Their wedding at Alta Vista Country Club was nothing short of magical. As a documentary wedding photographer, I live for days like this - real, emotional, and full of meaning. This Southern California wedding was the perfect blend of relaxed and romantic.

The venue was beautiful, but what made it unforgettable were the small, quiet moments: the hand squeezes, the soft looks, and the laughs during vows. Their love felt steady and deep - like a warm hug wrapped in sunlight.

From El Monte and Venice, CA, to now building a home together, their journey is rooted in family, deep connection, and total trust. Their daughter was such a sweet part of the day, and you could just feel how much love surrounded them as they said, “I do.”

This wedding wasn’t just about the pretty details (though yes, the details were gorgeous). It was about them - their story, their bond, and their joy. The kind of love that grows stronger over time and doesn’t need to shout to be felt.

If you're looking for a real couple love story, this one is it. And if you're dreaming of a wedding that feels true to who you are, I’d love to help tell your story in a way that feels natural and honest.

Want your story told in a way that feels real, not forced?
Let’s make it happen. I’ll bring the camera. You bring the love. 💛

Big Laughs, Big Love: Kelli + Geno’s San Bernardino Wedding Bash

Kelli and Geno’s wedding was the kind of day that makes our hearts so full.

They got married at Azure Hills SDA Church in Grand Terrace, with over 200 people cheering them on. And honestly? It felt like one big family reunion - in the best way. Everyone was hugging, laughing, crying (happy tears, of course), and just so pumped to celebrate these two.

Kelli and Geno met in college, stayed best friends for years, and then finally turned that friendship into something even more beautiful. They’re sweet, goofy, kind - and totally in sync. You can tell they just get each other. Geno kept sneaking little smiles at Kelli all day, and Kelli? She lit up every time she looked at him.

After the ceremony, the reception was pure JOY. Music, dancing, and a whole lot of love. Geno’s Kenyan culture took center stage and brought the party vibes - color, rhythm, and dancing that went all night long (yes, we were dancing too).

What made this wedding so special? It wasn’t about perfect timelines or stiff traditions. It was about real moments. The ones you can’t plan for. The ones you feel. That’s what we’re all about - and Kelli and Geno let us capture it all.

Thank you both for letting us in. For being fully yourselves. For making the day so fun, emotional, and unforgettable.

Here are some of their engagement photos at Balboa Park in San Diego.

Julia and Kyle’s Los Angeles Backyard Wedding | A Real-Life Love Story 20 Years in the Making

Julia and Kyle tied the knot at Kyle’s parents' home in Los Angeles, and it wasn’t just a wedding; it was a full-circle moment decades in the making.

They actually go way back. Like childhood neighbors who once went on a family vacation together at age 12 (which resulted in awkward yet iconic kid photos together). They lived around the corner from each other, and their moms always half-joked about them ending up together. Turns out, the moms knew what they were talking about.

After 20 years apart, Julia and Kyle reconnected and realized they both had secret crushes when they were kids. I mean... that’s fate, right?

Instead of a traditional proposal, they chose something that felt more like them. No staged surprises or grand gestures - just a mutual, quiet knowing that this was it. The right person, the right time, the right decision.

Their backyard wedding was full of heart and intention. No flashy distractions. Just two people surrounded by the people who’ve known and loved them for a long time. Real emotions, real laughter, and a goofball flower dog (okay, maybe not the last one - but you get the vibe).

From a documentary wedding photography lens, this day was a dream. There were no stiff poses or fake smiles—just real, unfolding moments. A sweet embrace in the kitchen. Side glances full of history. Quiet laughter in the middle of the chaos.

We’re beyond honored to have been a part of this one. Because when the story runs this deep, every photo feels like a page in the best book ever.
