Kelly and Greg have been dating over 5 years, and they have about 8 photos of them together including a couple of selfies. There is neither a single photo frame nor a photo display of them at home. What? I puzzled. Really? I asked. They hate photos. O.M.G. I need to run away!
But! Instead, I was welcomed into their home and had a chance to document their normal day together.
"We're pretty boring," Kelly said.
Well - that is perfect because I am too. I believe all the fun is in the simple life. Someone once told me that life is amazingly good when it’s simple and amazingly simple when it’s good.
“The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. And that's what you've given me. That's what I'd hoped to give you forever” - Nicholas Sparks
It had never happened before I met Charlie and Danny. I never had the first meet-up consultation with any client for 5 hours. Five freaking hours. I mean... holy cow. We drank beer and wine and laughed a lot and I even cried. OK, crying sounds a little bit dramatic - so, I sobbed while Danny was telling me how much Charlie means to him. It was beautiful - these two complete strangers sitting across the table. Odd? Maybe. But when I get chocked up or sob, it's always a good sign because I'm an emotional moment junkie that I know I'm going to do my job well.
There was no question about where the engagement session would take place other than Venice Canals - where they had the first date, the first kiss, and the proposal. I had so many moments where I just smiled while shooting these two goofy perfectly-in-love couple. Thank you so much Charlie and Danny for being who you are and inviting me to witness your special love.
