Amanda and Jonathan knew exactly how they wanted to experience their wedding day. From the very beginning, they told us they did not want their celebration interrupted or orchestrated for the sake of photos. Amanda and Jonathan also made one thing very clear. They LOVE color. So much so that guests who arrived wearing black were handed bright, colorful ponchos to wear. They did give everyone a heads-up before the wedding, of course. 💛 It was such a fun way to invite everyone into the celebration and perfectly captured their personalities.
After more than ten years together, they still share the same playful spirit. They love video games, weekend walks with their dog, puzzles, and escape rooms. Their friends and family often describe them as two peas in a pod because they think alike, solve problems together, and always support each other. Watching them interact throughout the day made it easy to understand why everyone says that about them.
Their wedding beneath the chuppah at Newhall Mansion was filled with laughter, meaningful traditions, and genuine connection. Every hug, every smile, and every quiet glance became part of a story that could never be recreated. Those moments are the heart of documentary wedding photography and the reason I believe the most meaningful wedding photos are the ones that happen naturally.
